When the Welcome to Business Class Dial Access! page displays, click the here link.
When the Dial Access Service Subscription Agreement page appears, click the I Agree button. Once you agree to the Subscription Agreement, you will be directed to the download page where you can choose the appropriate dialer for your system.
When the Download and Install the Dialer page appears, select the appropriate link for your OS (Windows [all versions], Mac OS 8.x and 9.x, or Mac OS X). Clicking on the desired OS will start the download.
Save the self-extracting executable in a folder you will remember on your hard drive.
Follow the instructions for installing the appropriate dialer for your OS below.
To install the Time Warner Cable Business Class Dial Access dialer:
After downloading the dialer, locate and double-click the RR-1023.exe icon. The installation wizard will begin.
When the Welcome screen displays, click the Next button to continue.
When the Read Me File screen displays with the Dial Access Service Subscription Agreement, click the Next button to continue.
When the Choose Destination Location screen displays, click the Next button. The installation process will begin.
You must restart your computer to complete the installation process. When the Install screen displays, click the OK button to restart your computer.
After your computer has restarted, locate and double-click the RoadRunner Setup icon on your desktop.
Note: The most recent dialup numbers will be downloaded during this phase of the installation. You will receive an error message the and setup process will quit if you do not have a functioning Internet connection. Contact us if you receive an error message.
Once the download is complete, you will be prompted to select a local phone number for the area you from which you will be calling. You can either type the telephone area code or city name into the field provided and click the Search button or simply scroll down the list.
Once you have selected the number, click the Next button to continue.
Dial settings can be configured for various situations on the Dial Settings screen:
If dialing 9 is required for an outside line, click the checkbox next to the To access an outside line, Dial: option and enter a 9 into the field provided. Note: To dial long distance or a toll free number, 1 may be entered into the To access an outside line, Dial: field.
To disable Call Waiting, click the checkbox next to the To disable Call Waiting, Dial: option and enter a *70, into the field provided.
To use 10-digit dialing (as is required in many US cities), click the checkbox next to the Use 10-Digit Dialing (US) option.
To use pulse dialing, click the checkbox next to the Use Pulse Dialing option. The results will be displayed in the field at the bottom of the screen.
Click the Next button to continue.
A confirmation message will be displayed listing the number and dial settings you selected. Click the Yes button to continue.
Enter your real name in the Real name: field.
Enter your username in the Email: field.
Enter raleigh.twcbc.com in the @ field.
Enter your password in the Password: and Verify Password: fields. Note: The Hide Password option is checked by default. If you wish to keep your password visible, uncheck the Hide Password checkbox.
Click the Next button to continue.
A confirmation message will display listing your information. If you wish to print the information for future reference, click the Print button.
Click the Finish button to complete the setup process.
A final message will display. If you would like to launch a dialup connection, default web browser or e-mail program, or change ICC Settings, click the OK button to launch the Internet Control Center (ICC).
Windows Reconfiguration
You can reconfigure your Windows installation. To reconfigure your installation, select Programs, RoadRunner, and then Reconfig from the Start menu.
To install the Time Warner Cable Business Class Dial Access dialer:
After downloading the dialer, locate and double-click the RoadRunner.sea.bin icon on your desktop. The installation process will begin. The installation files will automatically "UnStuff." Note: If you receive an error message stating that you need to upgrade to a new version of the Macintosh OS, you may download upgrades from the Apple web site.
A new folder will be created on your desktop. Double-click the RoadRunner Setup icon to open this folder.
Double-click the Installer icon to start the setup process. The RoadRunner Setup Wizard will begin.
Click the checkbox next to the Dialing Prefix option and select 9, 1 or Other from drop-down menu.
To disable Call Waiting, click the checkbox next to the To disable call waiting option and select *70, 70#, 1170 or Other from the drop-down menu.
To use 10-digit dialing (as is required in many US cities), click the checkbox next to the Use 10 digit dialing option.
Select the type of modem installed from the drop-down list.
Click the right arrow button to continue.
To search for local numbers, enter the area code in the Area Code field or the city in the City field and click the Get List button.
Select a local number from the list and click the right arrow button to continue.
A confirmation message will display. Click the Continue button to proceed or the Change it button to edit the number.
Enter your first name in the First name field.
Enter your last name in the Last name field.
Enter your Time Warner Cable Business Class username in the Email: field.
Enter raleigh.twcbc.com in the @ field.
Enter your password in the Password: and Verify Password: fields.
Click the Finish button to finish the setup process.
A confirmation message will be displayed. Click the OK button.
If you would like to launch a dialup connection, default web browser or e-mail program, or change ICC Settings, launch the Internet Control Center (ICC).
