Time Warner Cable Business Class provides a world class hosting and network facility that includes a raised floor architecture, large-systems UPS, Multi-fuel generator, fire suppression and secure access and monitoring. Around the clock personnel are on call for Time Warner Cable facilities to protect our Time Warner Cable Business Class computer center environment and Cable Television head-end.
All of our cable company services are under centralized management, including a distribution hub for the State's largest two-way digital hybrid-fiber coax network, servicing 380,000 homes and businesses with broadband cable networking.
Server Complex and Network Architecture
Time Warner Cable Business Class has a substantial investment in its server complex. The complex utilizes state-of-the-art equipment with built-in redundancies to ensure reliability:
- Ethernet, SONET and ATM backbone architectures provide dedicated access fiber-based local network capacity of speeds up to 10 Gb/s
- Cisco Systems Gigabit Core and Border routers facilitate redundant, load balanced Internet connectivity
- Internet connectivity via redundant and physically-diverse triple-homed fiberoptic circuits
- Internet connectivity provided by ATDN and Time Warner Cable Business Class National backbone
- Cisco Systems Gigabit level switching for commercial services core network ensures minimum latency
- Sun Enterprise and Enterprise level Dell servers provide high-availability services such as Web Hosting, DNS, Mail and provisioning/monitoring
- DOCSIS-based Cisco Systems Cable Modem Termination System for cable modem/router Ethernet services over the RF network
