One of The Business Journal's most recognized events is Women in Business. The ninth-annual Women in Business Awards Luncheon was held in the Triad on Wednesday, April 30, 2008 at the Marriott Hotel - Greensboro/High Point Airport. The Charlotte and Raleigh events are coming up on July 17th and August 8th, respectively.

Each year, a new group of distinguished women are granted the prestigious Women in Business Award.
These awards recognize the successes of each area’s top 25 area businesswomen based on their business accomplishments primarily over the past 12 months. The winners are recognized at a luncheon and in a special publication in the Business Journal. Nominees are female business leaders with a strong record of innovation or outstanding business performance in her for-profit or non-profit business.
